Bumble and Bumble

Hey Guys! Last Thursday, my cousin Linda (who is an amazing hairstylist!) invited me to be her hair model for a hair course featuring New York Fashion Week Trends by Bumble and Bumble hosted by The Spa and The Spa Retreat.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with them, Bumble and Bumble is a salon that started out of New York back in 1977. Since then, they have thrived in the industry and offer cut, colour and styling courses at their very own Bb University in New York City. The focus of this course was quick styles and updos featuring chignons and finger wave styles. Here are some pics from the course : )

After having experienced a few of their products, I do like them a lot actually. Their Texture Cream and Grooming cream are great products to create grit and texture (especially in my hair which is fine and falls flat) without that crunchy feeling that I get from using mousse and hairspray for a scrunched tousled look. But they are higher end products, so they are pricy. If you’re looking for high quality products and don’t mind the higher price tag – I would definitely check it out. You can purchase them at both locations of The Spa  and they are also available at Sephora (in-store and online).

I loved the do! I’ve always wanted to know how to do finger waves – and though it was a learning experience for Linda and the other stylists, I think I’ll be able to recreate this look at home too!

Here’s a couple of extra pics of the finished product (8 hours after the course too! It held up really well).
